15 & 30 hours Funding:
We are proud to offer funded childcare hours for a range of age groups, ensuring every family can benefit from quality early education.
Working parents of children aged 10 months – 3 years may be eligible for up to 15 hours of funded childcare per week, subject to meeting specific criteria.
For children aged 3 and 4, we provide up to 15 hours of universal funded childcare per week, with an additional 15 hours available for families who qualify under the extended entitlement, offering a total of 30 funded hours.
Funding is applicable during term time (38 weeks a year). The funded entitlement does not include food or other additional services which all our privately funded sessions receive.
Marigold Montessori operates over 48 weeks of the year, therefore the 15 hours funding is stretched to 11.8 hours and the 30 hours funding is stretched to 23.7 hours.
Please do get in touch to learn more about eligibility, check availability, or receive guidance with your funding application.
Sibling Discount:
We are happy to offer a 5% sibling discount to the eldest child when 2 or more children are attending the nursery at the same time.

Free Entitlement Funding at Marigold Montessori
At Marigold Montessori, we are committed to complete transparency for parents accessing government-funded childcare.
Government funding is designed to cover a core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision. This ensures that all children receive a safe, structured environment that meets statutory requirements.
This includes:
- Age-appropriate learning materials such as books, puzzles, and basic creative resources
- Opportunities for play-based learning, including sand, water, and construction play
- Staffing levels that meet the minimum required ratios
Our Approach at Marigold Montessori
At Marigold Montessori, we go significantly beyond this baseline.
We believe early childhood should be rich, inspiring, and deeply nurturing, grounded in authentic Montessori principles and enhanced by real-world experiences. Delivering this level of quality naturally extends beyond what government funding alone can support.
What Is Not Covered by Government Funding
Funding does not include a number of essential elements that contribute to a child’s daily comfort, wellbeing, and enriched learning experience. These include:
- Meals, snacks, and nutritional planning
- Specialist educational activities and enrichment programmes
- Premium learning materials and authentic montessori resources
- Events, workshops, and extended learning experiences (yoga, spanish, drama)
The Marigold Montessori Experience
For families who choose to access our full provision, children benefit from a carefully curated environment designed to support independence, creativity, and holistic development.
This includes:
- Fresh, nutritious meals and snacks prepared to support growing minds and bodies
- All daily consumables, ensuring convenience and consistency for parents
- Authentic Montessori materials and thoughtfully prepared learning environments
- Specialist enrichment activities, including music, movement, creative arts, and hands-on learning experiences
- Practical life experiences, such as cooking, gardening, and sensory exploration
- Seasonal events and community experiences that create lasting memories for children and families
- A multi-purpose, design-led environment, unique to Marigold Montessori, supporting a wide range of developmental activities.

FUNDING & DISCOUNTS
Although we are open for 48 weeks, Goverment funding is structured for 38 weeks of the year (term time), so the funded hours are stretched over the 48 weeks that we are open. This amounts to 11 hours per week. The same applies to the 30 hour funding which is stretched to equate to 23 hours per week.
If you receive Working Families Funding, this is available from 10 months.
All three year olds start receiving funding the term after their birthday.
